Small Team Update: Toys, Gift Cards, Points & New Review Tasks 💌🎁

Hey everyone, Lesley here :upside_down_face:

I think there might be a little misunderstanding floating around, so I wanted to clarify what is actually happening on our side right now.

Because of some recent team changes, we are a bit short staffed. That means a lot of things are moving a little slower than before. I am really sorry about the delays, and I appreciate your patience so much. :yellow_heart:

1. Free toys and gift cards are still happening

ToyChats will continue to provide free review toys and gift cards just like before.

The only difference is timing: since our team is smaller at the moment, processing reviews, forms, and rewards might be slightly slower than usual. Please forgive the delay and hang in there with us. :folded_hands:

2. About toy inventory

Our toys come from our own purchases and sponsored toys from brands .

Right now we are:

  • Cleaning up and organizing our existing inventory
  • Adjusting our internal workflow

But no worries, we will keep providing toys for Review Creators. This part is not stopping.

3. Coming soon: Points System + Redemption Store :video_game::sparkles:

At the end of this month, we are planning to launch our ToyChats Points System.

  • When your review is approved, you will earn points
  • You can use these points in our Points Store to redeem toys or gift cards

This is our way of saying thank you for your time, effort, and amazing work.

4. New Review Task System :magnifying_glass_tilted_left::package:

We are also getting ready to launch our Review Task System:

  • We will publicly post toys that need to be reviewed as tasks
  • You can apply for the tasks you are interested in
  • Our editors will make the final selection
  • The higher your review quality, the easier it will be to get chosen for future tasks

This will make everything more transparent, fair, and easier to manage for everyone.

I’ve got 2 questions:

1: will the redemption store be available outside of the US?

2: will the new points system replace the giftcards, or will the two programs run simultaneously?

We hope to keep our redemption store available to creators worldwide without regional restrictions. Our plan is to purchase items online based on the shipping address you provide, allowing us to choose a local or nearby retailer. This helps reduce both shipping time and shipping costs.

After we launch the Points System, we will discontinue the Paid Program. Since points can be redeemed for gift cards in the Points Store, the functionality would be duplicated. For creators who are willing to sign the tax forms, we will convert points into income. In practice, there is no difference — the Points System simply makes everything more consistent and easier to manage.

Are there any tasks available? My task center says to apply to be a tester, but I’ve already applied and have two reviews posted.

Lesley mentioned in another post that, due to the holiday, they’re expecting to start the soft launch of the full system on January 1–2, 2026, so I guess at this point it’s just a matter of timing and time zones.
