🎉 Review Task Center is LIVE (soft launch)! Who’s in? 😈

Hey ToyChats crew!

Our Review Task Center just entered public soft launch, and it’s officially open for everyone to explore :eyes:

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Check it out here: https://www.toychats.com/task/1-1

New tasks are up, rules are clear, and the toys are waiting to be claimed.

So let’s make this fun :backhand_index_pointing_down:

:fire: Which task caught your eye first?

:camera_with_flash: Article or video? What’s your go-to format?

 Be honest: which toy do you really want to try?

:light_bulb: Got any tips for shooting pics, filming, or writing reviews?

This is a testing phase, so feedback is more than welcome.

If something feels confusing, clunky, or surprisingly smooth, say it out loud. That’s how we make it better together :speech_balloon:

Jump in, browse the tasks, and drop your thoughts below.

No pressure, just vibes and toys :peach:

Let’s get this party started.

1 ♤Supreme Wand** ~ Multiple opportunities to use.

2 The article is easy to skim, with photos that let the reader dive deeper at your own pace. But thinking about some videos in the future.

The new format feels faster, cleaner, and gives you space to decide.

Is there a limit to how many options we can select?

Does selecting an item mean we’ll receive them, or will you choose which ones to send?

Once selections are final, when should we expect delivery?

How are we using the points? And how many points we use for selected toy?

Thank you for the update and toys

Since this is a trial phase, each creator can actively work on up to 1 task at a time , and apply for up to 5 tasks in parallel .

Once one task is approved, all other pending applications will be automatically invalidated. As the system becomes more stable and optimized, we’ll gradually relax these limits.

Each task has no limit on the number of applicants, but it does have a limited number of available toys. Once the approved creators reach the toy limit, the task will close.

Editors review applications based on application order, task completion history, and past review performance, and make decisions holistically.

So we recommend applying for the toys you’re most excited about, instead of applying for everything. This helps more creators get a fair chance to review toys they actually like, rather than us assigning them randomly.

We’ll keep improving this process to make it as fair, transparent, and balanced as possible.

We’re also considering extra bonus points for certain tasks, but this feature isn’t live yet.

For now, task rewards stay the same:

  • Article review: 2,000PPoints
  • Video review: 4,000 PPoints
    PPoints = Pleasure Points :smiling_face_with_horns:

Points can be redeemed in the PPStore for gift cards and other items you may like, such as toys, T-shirts, hats, and more fun stuff.

At the moment, only gift cards are available, with more items coming soon.

Definitely the wand. Work kicked up for me and im still chewing through several reviews, but another wand for a comparison is on “need to get” list!

:camera_with_flash: Article or video? What’s your go-to format?

My go to is Articles for now until I flesh out a storyboard for videos.

 Be honest: which toy do you really want to try?

If this is for ANY toy, probably more wands. The Magic Wand Rechargeable or the Lovense Domi 2.

:light_bulb: Got any tips for shooting pics, filming, or writing reviews?

I have a good amount of photography tips! So here is one:

2 lights is usually enough to start. With a backdrop (can be a blanket or a monocolor background) and a product placed on a suface infront have the lights to the left and right of the camera at about a 45 degree angle towards the product.

The distance from the product is somewhat personal preference. And the angle can be adjusted too. The goal is to shape light and shadows to make the product pop with the least amount of distractions.

Things to look for when adjusting lights to your style:

Hard vs Soft Shadows: Do you want sharp, crisp shadows to make edges and texture pop? Or soft shadows for a more even lighting across all surfaces? (This can be supplimented by a third overhead light to soften shadows produced by the 2 main lights.)

Brightness: The brightness of a light source increases glare and highlights. These can be used to show texture or reduced with a Circular Polarized filter (CPL) or in post with editing.

Temperature: cold lighting vs warm lighting changes the feel and color balance. Colder is more blue while warm is more yellow. Warmer cozy tones are around 2700K-3000K while cooler daylight tones are in the 4000k-5000k range.

RGB: You can add smaller lights with RBG capabilities — Unless your main lights are RGB — to create almost unlimited color variations to really create your own style or to compliment the colors of products, backdrops, or props!

Ecstatic for the update! Dropped everything to apply ! Definitely top choice is the wand followed by open end stroker!

Love the update , seems very streamlined and clean. Definitely keeps me excited to test these toys out.

If I apply to more than one , does it show preference on which I applied to first ?

Also I neeeed a hat !

We live in Canada, and some companies have trouble shipping sex toys across the border. Do we need to pay attention to that when choosing a toy?
Edit: Sorry, I just saw the " [U.S.-only]" tag

No worries. We’ll be rolling tasks out to creators outside the U.S. later on (though yeah, some regions still won’t work ). We just need a bit more time to fully test the whole process, so please hang tight for now.

We’re planning to finish reviewing this round of applications on Monday and continue releasing new tasks. Then on Tuesday, we’ll ship out this batch of toys.

Just keep an eye on your email — we’ll send notifications at every step.

I filled out the stuff needed in address in tasks and have a approved review. Befor launch but it won’t let me pic one X w X

I just checked your publishing status. I noticed you have one article scheduled to go live on the 14th. According to how the task system works, once one of your reviews is approved and officially published on ToyChats, you’ll be able to apply for review tasks.

No worries at all. We’ll be releasing new tasks again this week, so you’ll definitely have a chance to jump in and apply!
