What is Happening with the Blogs?! Can't Save or Publish!

Just finished my work for the Wand Blog - 19 total wands in the list that felt super worth it after going through and doing extensive research over 30 of them and realizing some just weren’t great.

I cannot save, I cannot publish and the preview is only showing me the work from the last time I saved. I’m losing my marbles right now. What is going on?!

I’ve put the information in over 5 times and it just won’t work. I copied all of the info to a document and repasted it into the blog so my very last save is all text, with NO links to articles. Just took the time to re-paste the information into the proper article bubbles again and now I am blocked from saving or publishing again.

Maybe try logging out, completely closing your browser, reopening it, and logging back in to see if that helps?

I’ve personally never encountered this issue before, and our dev team hasn’t pushed any updates recently. We do have a small update and some bug fixes planned for tonight though.

Didn’t help. :c

But I believe I figured it out! I started pasting in certain pieces at a time and trying the save button.

It didn’t like that I pasted in the title of the toy. Something about pasting over the toy name that comes with the article bubble broke the whole thing. The toy name can be edited and it’ll work, but delete and paste over it and it breaks.

I’ll take some time tonight to test this and see exactly where the issue is. The roundup module still has some minor bugs at the moment, but we’ll keep working on improving it.

It was definitely the title of the toy that was the issue. Once I quit pasting over it with a copy from my write up in another document it behaved and the blog has now successfully been finished and saved! Just previewing it now before publishing.

I have to say I miss the old format with the boxes to fill out for each toy. It allowed for far more freedom to rearrange the list as desired (by price, size, feature, etc) since you could drag and drop the boxes.

With the latest format style you MUST go in with a full on plan now because there is NO room for errors. If you forgot to put a toy in a certain place based on your desired order, too bad, so sad. Trying to place a toy somewhere in your already created list doesn’t put it where you want it, but at the BOTTOM of the list. You can’t move it or change it. If you want it at #3 and it’s #17, say goodbye to the work in between cause it has to go away in order for that toy to now be put there. It’s quite cumbersome and annoying.

I don’t think it’s bad when you’re doing one at a time, but since I was put in charge of 5 at a time, it makes it a very noticeable nuisance and has been part of the several reasons this batch hasn’t been posted sooner.

No worry, we will continually upgrade the user experience. I will talk to the dev team to locate the problem and fix it ASAP.

No big worries! Thank you lot though!
