Honestly just ask. 
Sex is so much about open communication, and in our experience most partners are open to try them! No advertisement, but you could show him the website and ask if he’d ever thought about using toys. Would be a great resources for finding a toy you both like, too.
I’d recommend going with Vibrators and suction toys — they’re easier for warm-up and interaction.
