🚨 Borderlands 4 – Hype Thread 🚨

:rocket: Borderlands 4 is Coming – Who Will You Play?

The Borderlands universe is leveling up once again! With Borderlands 4 on the horizon (Sept 12), we’re about to see some exciting changes. Borderlands 4 has teased improvements to character builds, new skill tree systems, enhanced co-op features, and even bigger worlds to loot, shoot, and explore.

In the previous game, many players built their playstyle around Mayhem scaling, co-op synergy, and unique Vault Hunter skills. Now with Borderlands 4, the shift looks to give us more player-driven freedom in how we approach combat, loot, and story progression.

I’m most excited for the revamped skill trees. I want to try builds that feel creative without being punished late-game. My plan is to run something that leans into elemental combos and see how far I can push it in co-op.

Also, I can’t wait to dive into those new open zones. If they nail exploration, I’ll probably spend way too much time just farming side quests and chasing hidden loot drops.

But that’s me, what about you?

Who do you plan to play first when Borderlands 4 launches, and what kind of build or playstyle are you most excited to try with these new changes?

You’re really into Borderlands 4, I love it :joy::fire:

I hope the performance works well especially because of unreal engine 5. We probably wait for the release and the first patches

I would pick Vex. Her abilities just look so unique and fresh.

LOL I am!! Unreal Engine 5 definitely has me on the edge to see how the graphics are, and the performance could be insane. But yeah, I agree waiting for those first patches might be the smart play:sweat_smile:

Vex looks awesome, her kit feels really different compared to past Vault Hunters. I’m probably going to main Vex too, but who knows, I really got to try Amon after seeing his trailer video too!! Who did you main back in BL3?

I’d go with Zane for his gadget-focused style, and I loved the way the abilities mix mobility with utility; it always felt super fun for me. Also loved using the clone!

I mained Fl4k way back too. Sniper crit builds with a pet were unmatched for that lone-wolf vibe.

What are you currently playing, and what games are you looking forward to??

In the Borderlands series, the Sirens are always my favorite — I love the superpowers and their personalities. Lilith, Maya… total favorites of mine.

It’s a totally different camp right now. :joy:

Leni and I are both very busy, but if we have time, we always come back to Anno 1800, The Witcher 3, and Star Wars Battlefront II. They’re just three classics we can’t stop playing!

There are also some great indie games out there. Sometimes I feel like big companies just release games with the same mechanics and basic stories at a high price. Indie games have so much more value and depth.

I’m personally really looking forward to The Witcher 4, and I definitely have to play Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Are there any games you guys are playing right now that you really love?

I playing this every week!

Borderlands 4 is honestly such a great game — I spent two days on it last weekend. The open-world vibe is awesome, and I think I’m starting to love running with Vex and Trouble. I’ve always been into the Sirens since the first game, so this feels amazing.

The gear changes a lot too — I haven’t fully figured it all out yet, still learning. Tons of cool weapons though. And being able to summon a vehicle anytime makes map runs so much easier — love it!
