Electro-stim for beginners recommendations?

Hello denizens of ToyChats!

My partner and I have been eyeing electro-stim devices for a moment now but have yet to pull the trigger on any.

I’m interested in trying one to see if it’s something I like so I can possibly have it be a base category of toys I review.

So, Electrically powered kinksters out there, please let us know what are good starter toys! And maybe a little info on safe practices. (I know that the heart and brain are no no spots :D) Also some info on what would be a step up from beginner and what kinds of electro-stim toy are out there.

Thank you!

We like the eXtreme Restraints Shock Rod Zapping Wand, not a bad or expensive toy.

I actually just did a review on a beginner electro-stim device. It’s not super strong, but it’s inexpensive, so I found it to be a really good way to decide whether to invest in something higher-quality/higher-voltage. It’s also super safe, especially for a beginner/first toy situation.

The only one I’ve ever used was that little electric shock thing on a lighter, so I really don’t have much more to add.

I had the KinkLab Neon Wand for years and loved it. It was easy to find additional attachments and accessories for, especially once I got the Power Tripper attachment. Literally the only reason I got rid of it was because I moved to Europe and the voltage wouldn’t align.

I’ve also used TENS units with my partners before! I brought mine with me when we moved because it’s battery powered so I can just switch out batteries without any issues.

Each provides different types of electro play, tbh. The Neon Wand is better suited to partner play, but a TENS unit can be used solo or with a partner by sticking the electrodes on your pelvis and inner thighs during masturbation.

Just make sure to read safety instructions with either device… or any electro play device, period. Electro is a lot of fun though!! Definitely recommend if you’re into sensation play.
