Hey folks! Just wondering if anyone here has used or is still using Tophy?
When I first joined, it was a lot of fun—I loved posting there, sharing content, and especially being able to connect my sex toys and exchange control with others. It felt like a chill place to meet new people who were into the same vibe.
But lately… it’s been super frustrating. The app won’t let me post pictures anymore, and that kind of killed the experience for me. I’m not sure if it’s a bug, moderation thing, or if they’re just limiting uploads now?
Would love to know what y’all think — or where you’re hanging out online now that mixes social + pleasure tech
From my experience, having a Twitter-like public feed in a app like this can be a major risk. It’s really easy for users to share NSFW images or short clips, which can quickly trigger restrictions or takedowns from platforms like Google and Apple.
I was actually involved in a project like this before — it had 1-on-1 text, voice, and even video chat with no issues. Group chat was fine too. But the moment we added a Twitter-style public timeline, we started getting constant complaints because users began posting nude photos and explicit videos.
We tried adding blur filters and content warnings, but Google still wouldn’t approve the app.
In the end, we had to remove that public sharing feature entirely. Users could still connect privately, but no more open posting. Just wanted to share this as a heads-up for anyone considering similar functionality.
It wasn’t like twitter, complete nudity wasn’t allowed . They have strict censorship which is also kinda annoying. It was a social media/ dating app/ platform for people with remote control toys to meet and exchange control.
It’s a good concept just poor execution. A cold place for people with sex toys to meet and exchange controls. You meet people there can video call and mutually masturbate. I really enjoyed posting snaps of my toys, I saw it as a nice place to express my sexuality and meet people
I’ve used Trophy with my Lovense Gush and got flooded by Bot friend requests or DM requests from content producers soliciting control sessions in exchange for money/coins.
I still have it installed for the A.I Toy Control stuff but haven’t used it since.
I get better luck with VibeMate or Remote + Lovense Discord to find controllers/peers.
That’s the other issue with the app, so many people on there just tryna make money on the app or bots. But I was very active with posting on Moments and made some really good connections and I still play with them. But I just can’t post moments anymore
it was a stupid update since then Moments have disappeared for me, if I delete and reinstall the app I see Moments for a bit and that tab just goes away. Its a very poorly developed app.
I really enjoy Fetlife. It’s like fb but for kinky people. I actually learned about this site from there. People post all kinds of spicy photos, erotica, videos, audios and status updates on there. It’s a great way to find events as well. I run a spicy book club and post on their events page. I had 42 RSVP’s.
I recently learned of a few bad things about fetlife which I’d rather not post here, there is another site called redsanctum it seems smaller but i think that is because everyone that joins has to take a verification selfie
That is totally fair. I definitely get that. I’m glad you are able to find other sites for things like that. I have never heard of the two you have mentioned.
I understand why it’s prominent because it helps grow the userbase/interactions and engagement between users.
SO it makes sense to me why not much is done to moderate/curb the prominence of users who aim to sell/cross-sell content creation, it helps grow the platform.
This is likely the case for any user-driven sex related Social Media or engagement platform since it relies having a userbase to thrive haha.
