Has there ever been a toy that really disappointed you?

It’s really nice if you let it heat up before you use it.
It’s something else haha.

Yeah, tell me about it.
Satisfyer usually knocks it out of the park with their toys too.

  • They never miss!

Oh well, I probably have to recycle it or toss it out unless I figure out some other way to use it haha.

Dang. Thats fair. Sorry to hear about that.

What can you do though, you’re basically just relying on independent reviews to determine if they are suitable or not. It’s all subjective though and a bit of a gamble.

my most disappointing toy comes with a very short backstory: one year, I attended a tradeshow as an “assistant buyer” for a retailer, and my role was to help pick out toys for them to sell. I spent the time squeezing toys, running vibes up & down my arms, and talking to sales reps from brands. I found a vibe that I loved - it was a pebble vibrator that was very squishy, felt luxurious af, had good flexibility for a vibrator, and had sexy packaging. Great, lined up for success!

Then, about 3-4 months later, the owner of the retailer sent me one and I was so excited to try it out! I. Hated. It. It did not work for me, it was perfect except for the vibration intensity was just so low that even on the highest setting, it was just never enough. :sob:

Daaamn. That sucks. Low intensity vibes are so frustrating.

True, very true.
I find reviews of toys online are very one-dimensional and doesn’t speak to the user biases or key interests which kind of devalue the rating or summary of the toy.

I find that the reviews on ToyChats usually the author explains what got them interested in the toy and what they wanted from it and last but not least-did it deliver?

Hopefully this allows readers to draw parallels in what they’re looking for so they can find the right toy!
